Pre-Work
Welcome
Preliminary Reading - Before the class starts, I recommend that you read All a-twitter about Web 2.0: what does it offer libraries? to get an overview of what is meant by the term Web 2.0 and why libraries should be interested in it. This is a link to the InfoTrac collection and should work as long as you are on a computer that can authenticate into InfoTrac. If you have any trouble accessing it, you can log into InfoTrac as you normally do and search for the article in Educator's Reference Complete.
Become Familiar with the Course Wiki - Read How to Use This Wiki to become familiar with navigating the course. When you are done, post a comment to this page to let us know that you have logged in and accessed the course materials successfully. Much of the work in this class will involve online discussion through posted comments.
Hi Kathy. I'm all signed up and I've added this wiki to my RSS feed so I'm good to go. I've not run across Zoho before so right off the bat this it a new wiki to explore. Looking forward to the class.
See you tomorrow at the Testing the Usability of Your Web Site workshop. Daisy
Signed up and looking forward to something new.
Hi Kathy,
I was able to sign up and am looking forward to learning all the information. The trick will be to find the time to read everything and participate in the discussions.
Suzanne
Glad to see you all made it in. Yes, Suzanne, the key is finding the time. I took an online class during the Fall, and the time factor was a struggle for almost everybody in the class. I'll try to create the assignments so that most of the time can be spent using the services with just a minimal amount of time spent on reading or reporting back to the group. However, the reporting back could lead to interesting discussions!

At last I have conquered the zoho wiki and I am registered. I keep reminding myself that I am taking this course because I need to learn about all this new fangled stuff. At the end of the 6 weeks I won't feel like such a rookie.
